Frontenac Grapes
University Of Minnesota Release. This variety has excellent winter hardiness (-35 F) and can produce a quality red wine. Has distinctive cherry nose and with deep garnet coloring. Good disease resistance. Late ripening. Acidity can be high but if left to hang on the trellis long enough can be brought into a reasonable level.
