Frontenac Gris - White Wine Grape Vines Frontenac Gris
A "sport" of Frontenac this vine makes a quality white wine with the same growth characteristics of Frontenac as well as good disease resistance with a mild susceptibility to powdery mildew and black rot. Aromas include Pineapple, apricot, peach and citrus. Suitable for high quality table and dessert wines, possibly ice wine as well.

La Crescent - White Wine Grape Vines La Crescent
Very hardy vine but requires a careful spray program as it is susceptible to black rot and downy mildew. Makes excellent semi-sweet and dessert style wines similar to Riesling but with apricot and honey.

Prairie Star - White Wine Grape Vines Prairie Star
Extremely winter hardy (to -40F), Disease resistant other than a susceptibility to easily controllable Anthracnose. Makes a neutral varietal wine in most years it is currently used to add body and finish to such other white wines as Louise Swenson.

Brianna - White Wine Grape Vines

Brianna
Elmer Swenson Variety. Winter hardy in South Dakota. This grape produces a lovely semi-sweet white with can have hints of apricot, peach, pineapple and honey. A lovely fruity nose. Also makes a good white juice.

Chardonel - White Wine Grape Vines
Chardonel
A cross of Chardonnay and Seyval Blanc makes and excellent white wine when the fruit matures. A Cornell University release this grape requires a long growing seasons and is only moderately winter hardy, However, it does produce excellent quality white wines when ripe.

La Crosse - White Wine Grape Vines

La Crosse
An Elmer Swenson release this variety makes a wine similar in quality to Seyval Blanc. Hardy to -25 moderate vigor and disease resistance. Good varietals wines in dry and semi-dry styles. Clean and fruity. Late ripening.

Louise Swenson - White Wine Grape Vines
Louise Swenson
Winter Hardy to -40 this wine make an outstanding wine if a bit light in body (blending with a variety like Prairie Star makes it more complete) . Moderate acidity with typically a 20 brix. Ripens midseason. Aromas of flowers and honey. Nice growth habit with good disease resistance (mild anthracnose).

St Pepin - White Wine Grape Vines
St Pepin
Sister seedling to La Crosse the variety is pistallite (female flowers only) Other varieties are needed to get fruit set. When well ripened has a style similar to Riesling.
